Hi! I'm Fern Lockwood, a 21-year-old plant lover and co-owner of Ferns Creek Tropicals, a Vermont-based tropical plant nursery that I run alongside my husband and our PR manager Sorrel Lockwood. Together, we specialize in aroids—especially Anthuriums. These bold, expressive foliage plants, native to the lush jungles of Central and South America, have stolen our hearts and rooted themselves in homes across North America.

Plants have always been a part of my life. I grew up surrounded

by greenery, and that early love for houseplants eventually blossomed into something bigger. With a background in the biosciences—botany, mycology, and microbiology—I decided to combine my scientific curiosity with my passion for plants. The result? Our little jungle in the Northeast: Ferns Creek Tropicals.
